Palmyra is east of us along the canal in Wayne County.
Palmyra has a notable stock of nineteenth-century homes, especially near the village, with tall narrow openings and original wood sash. Those houses need a careful approach, and often full-frame work where more than a century of water has gotten into the sills.
On genuinely historic homes we talk through what can be preserved before we talk about what gets replaced. Not every old window needs to go.
The full range, same as everywhere else we work:
It depends on your frames, not on your town. Push a thumbnail into the wood at the bottom corners of a few windows. If it gives, that opening needs full-frame work. If it's solid, an insert will cost you less and keep your trim. We explain the whole difference on our installation techniques page.
How a Palmyra job runs. We come out and measure every opening ourselves. You get a written proposal with no commissioned salesperson attached to it and nothing owed until you approve it. On install day we average about two windows a day depending on the opening, we clean up behind ourselves, and we walk the job with you before we leave.
We also work in Macedon, Newark, Ontario, and more than twenty other towns around Rochester. See the full service area.
Free in-home consultation, no commissioned salesperson, and nothing owed until you approve the proposal.
