Fairport is one of our priority towns and one of the places we work most often.
Fairport mixes historic homes near the canal and the village with large postwar and modern subdivisions spreading out from it. Village homes often have original openings worth preserving, which usually points to insert replacements. Subdivision homes tend to be straightforward swaps of aging vinyl.
On the older village homes we're careful about the interior woodwork, since a lot of it is original and worth keeping. That's usually an argument for an insert over full-frame where the frame is still sound.
The full range, same as everywhere else we work:
It depends on your frames, not on your town. Push a thumbnail into the wood at the bottom corners of a few windows. If it gives, that opening needs full-frame work. If it's solid, an insert will cost you less and keep your trim. We explain the whole difference on our installation techniques page.
How a Fairport job runs. We come out and measure every opening ourselves. You get a written proposal with no commissioned salesperson attached to it and nothing owed until you approve it. On install day we average about two windows a day depending on the opening, we clean up behind ourselves, and we walk the job with you before we leave.
We also work in Penfield, Pittsford, Macedon, and more than twenty other towns around Rochester. See the full service area.
Free in-home consultation, no commissioned salesperson, and nothing owed until you approve the proposal.
