Batavia is the county seat of Genesee County, west of Rochester and inside our wider range.
Batavia is a small city with a lot of older homes near downtown, postwar neighborhoods around it, and rural properties in the surrounding town. Older city homes often have original openings covered by storm windows rather than true replacements.
